This Cookie Policy explains how Hmong Date ("we", "us", or "the App") uses cookies, local storage, and similar tracking technologies on our mobile app and this website. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. Do we use cookies in the mobile app?
Hmong Date is a native mobile app, not a web browser. We do not set traditional browser cookies inside the app. Instead, we use similar technologies that serve the same purpose:
- Device local storage (AsyncStorage on iOS/Android) — to remember your language preference, tier status, and other settings between sessions.
- Secure authentication tokens (managed by Firebase Authentication) — to keep you signed in after you close the app.
- Device identifiers — a unique, resettable identifier generated by your operating system to help us detect abuse and deliver push notifications.
- Crash and diagnostic data — anonymous logs collected by Firebase to help us fix bugs.
2. Cookies on this website
Our website uses only essential cookies set by our hosting provider for infrastructure purposes (load balancing, DDoS protection). We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies on the site.
3. Third-party technologies
Some of our service providers may set their own storage or identifiers when you use the App:
- Google Firebase — authentication tokens, database offline cache, analytics. Firebase Privacy
- RevenueCat — anonymous purchase identifier so your subscription follows your account. RevenueCat Privacy
- Apple App Store & Google Play — each store manages its own device identifiers and receipt storage for in-app purchases.
4. Your choices
- Sign out to clear stored authentication tokens.
- Delete your account (Settings → Delete Account) to permanently remove server-side data and identifiers.
- Reset your advertising ID in your device settings:
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID
- Uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data. (Note: server-side data remains until you delete your account.)
5. Do Not Track
The App does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals because it is not a browser. On mobile, we honor Apple's App Tracking Transparency and Android's ad-tracking settings.
6. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
